About Programme

Antrenörlük Eğitimi Bölümünde, sayıları ve çeşitleri gittikçe artan spor branşlarında ihtiyaç duyulan ileri kademede antrenörler ile mentor, kondisyoner ve masör gibi elemanlar yetiştirilmektedir.
Antrenörlük Eğitimi Bölümü ülkemizin spor alanında büyük ihtiyacı olan spor eğitimcileri yetiştirmektedir. Bölüm mezunları, amatör ve profesyonel spor kulüplerinde, Gençlik ve Spor Genel Müdürlüğü merkez ve taşra teşkilatlarında, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı?na bağlı okullarda antrenör ve yardımcı antrenör olarak çalışırlar. Ayrıca özel spor salonlarında ve turizm sektörü gibi sportif aktivitelerin öğretilmesi ve organizasyonlarda görev alabilirler. Bu programda hareket ve antrenman bilimleri, spor sağlık bilimleri ve sporda psiko-sosyal alanlar anabilim dalları ile ilgili teorik derslere ve uygulamalara yer verilir.
Ayrıca bölümde verilen eğitim ile; sporun her dalı ve insan hareketleri ile ilgili uğraşlarda, amatör ve profesyonel spor kulüpleri ve milli takımlarda çalışacak biçimde nitelikli, araştırmacı, üretken, sporun ve her seviyedeki sporcunun sorunlarını bilerek çözüm yolları arayan sporcunun seçimi ve yönlendirilmesiyle performanslarının arttırılmasına yönelik sportif teknik ve taktiğin geliştirilmesi doğrultusunda uygulamalar yapan, sporun bilimsel teorik temellerinin uygulama alanlarında kullanımını sağlayan uzmanlar yetiştirilmektedir

History
Our school was established in accordance with the additional article 30 of the Law No. 2809, which came on 26.02.2010 and was published in the Official Gazette No. 27505.
The education period for Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education and Sports Management Departments is 4 years.
In the 2011-2012 academic year, it started education by taking 60 students with special talent exam and 60 students with ÖSYS.
Qualification Awarded
Bachelor degree.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
The student must have passed all the courses in the program and must not have a grade of FF or below. In this program, the student must provide a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The main field of employment of the Coaching Education Department is the sports federations affiliated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, General Directorate of Sports. In addition to these, autonomous sports federations, sports clubs and sports centers constitute their main working areas.
Assessment and Grading
(1) Students are given a letter grade for each course at the end of the semester/year they are registered.
(2) This letter grade is appreciated by the instructor giving the course.
(3) In the appraisal of the success letter grade, the student's midterm exam, semester/end exam, success in studies during the semester and attendance to courses and applications are taken into consideration. The calculation of this letter grade is determined by the recommendation of the relevant academic unit board, the decision of the relevant board of the academic unit and the approval of the Senate.
(4) The success grade of the student is determined out of 100 full points. This score is called the raw achievement score.
(5) A student with a raw success score below 25.00 fails the course by getting a direct (FF) grade. The success grade of the student whose raw success score is 25.00 and above; The general situation of the class is evaluated with one of the letter grades whose coefficients and expansion are stated below, using one of the methods prepared with the decision of the University Education Commission and the approval of the Senate, taking into account the arithmetic averages and statistical distribution. After this evaluation, it is possible to have letter grade equivalents (FF) of raw achievement scores of 25.00 and above.

(7) A student who receives one of the grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (DC) and (DD) in a course is considered successful in that course. However, in order to graduate, the student's CGPA must be at least 2.00.
