About Programme

Resim Ana Sanat Dalı Sanatta Yeterlik Programı, 2022-2023 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı’nda Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü bünyesinde kurulmuştur. Sanatta yeterlilik programı, Güzel Sanatlar alanında akademik bilgi ve deneyime sahip yaratıcı, yenilikçi ve uzman sanatçılar yetiştirmeyi amaçlayan doktora eşdeğeri bir yükseköğretim programıdır. Sanatta Yeterlik eğitim ve öğretiminin süresi, ilgili lisansüstü eğitim ve öğretim yönetmeliğine göre ders ve tez hazırlama evreleri ile birlikte sekiz yarıyıl olup azami tamamlama süresi on iki yarıyıldır. Bölümde 1 Profesör, 3 Doçent, 3 Dr. Öğr.Üyesi bulunmaktadır.

History
Painting Department Art Proficiency Program was established in the 2022-2023 Academic Year within the Graduate Education Institute. The proficiency in arts program is a doctoral equivalent higher education program that aims to train creative, innovative and expert artists with academic knowledge and experience in the field of Fine Arts. The duration of Proficiency in Art education and training is eight semesters, together with the course and thesis preparation stages, according to the relevant postgraduate education and training regulations, and the maximum completion period is twelve semesters.

Admission Requirements
In order for the candidates to be accepted to the Proficiency in Art program; 1-Master's degree in Painting (from which he graduated with at least 75 grades), 2-Adequate level of foreign language skills (at least 55 for UÜDS, KPDS, ÜDS, at least 55 for TOEFL IBT, at least for TOEFL CBT) 134, at least 453 for TOEFL PBT and equivalent). Foreign students (except those studying in Turkey) are required to have a TÖMER document showing that they know Turkish. Candidates who do not certify that they know Turkish will receive a one-year Turkish preparatory education at ULUTÖMER if they are accepted to the proficiency program in arts. 3- 25% of the artistic performance of the entrance exam -with a minimum score of 75/100-, 25% of the interview and portfolio evaluation, 25% of the master's grade and 25% of the foreign language score. The average must be at least 70/100 points. Candidates who will apply to foreign student quotas must have the Application Conditions for the Admission of Students from Abroad and the exam types and scores accepted by the Karabuk University Senate in the Admission of Students from Abroad, as well as be successful in the Art Science Exam and Oral Interview (with a score of 75/100). . 4-There is no requirement for ALES. If it deems necessary, the department can teach a scientific preparation program in the Department of Art.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the Art Proficiency Program in Painting Department, to pass all the courses available in the program and get a total of 240 ECTS; and the personal exhibition and the text of the work / thesis must be successfully completed.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates who successfully complete the Proficiency in Art Program can share and transfer their knowledge in the field of painting, establish relationships with other disciplines and reflect this on their own productions. They can work as independent artists or with galleries. They can work as consultants, coordinators or managers in arts institutions and civic initiatives. They can be editors and writers in broadcasting organizations for these fields. They can continue their careers as academicians-artists in university staff.
Assessment and Grading
Examinations, Assessment and Evaluation In order for each student to register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and take the final exam, they must attend at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the applied courses. Students are subjected to at least one final exam for each course. The final exam can be made using assessment methods such as written exam, report presentation, art and/or design work and/or project, and performance studies. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order to be considered successful in a course, it is obligatory to get at least 75 points and students who get one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB and CB are considered successful in that course. The student has to retake the compulsory courses that he/she has failed. If he fails in the elective courses, he can take another elective course instead of that course with the approval of his advisor. Seminar course, specialization and thesis work do not have credits according to the local credit system and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. Proficiency in Art program consists of 240 ECTS credits in total, including at least eight courses, seminars, proficiency exam, specialization course, and thesis work, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits in one academic year. Students who complete their credits, successfully pass the courses and fulfill the conditions to be determined by the Graduate School Administrative Board have to take the proficiency exam by the end of the fourth semester at the latest. To complete the text of the work / thesis at the graduation stage in accordance with the spelling rules accepted by the graduate education institute; He has to present the work of art in the number and quality / originality determined by his advisor to the jury and defend his thesis orally in front of the jury.
