About Programme
Goals: To train basic food quality control and analysis technicians who are able to carry out their profession nationally and internationally and to meet the needs of the industry by transferring basic food knowledge with modern training methods. To provide our students with the opportunity of working in the field of food actively in the industry during their education.

Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded the "Food Quality Control and Analysis Associate Degree"
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to first cycle degree programmes in or a related field of the study and gain access to these programmes through a centralised, nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı).
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate in this program, students must have a GPA of at least 2.00 - 4.00, pass all courses with at least CC letter grade and have completed 30 work days summer internship.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of the program are given the title of “Food Quality Control and Analysis Technician”. Graduates who have successfully completed the Food Quality Control and Analysis Associate Degree Program are responsible for all kinds of public institutions (institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Municipalities, Provincial Health Directorates etc.) and private (food factories, dining halls, hotels, restaurants etc.). they can carry out food inspection and quality control services by taking part in all stages of the food chain to ensure the safety and quality of food and food contact substances. In addition, they may have the opportunity to work in laboratories related to physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of foods in public and private institutions and organizations
Assessment and Grading
Students enter the midterm and final exams at least once every semester from the credit courses they enroll. Contribution rate of midterm and final exams to success grade is determined as 40% and 60%, respectively.
