History
The proposal of the Rectorate of our University to open a Graphic Design Department within the faculty of our faculty has been examined at the Higher Education Executive Board Meeting dated 28/12/2016 and in accordance with the Article 7 / d-2 of the Law No. 2547 numbered 288 and Article 3 of Law No. 2809. The decision was made to be connected to the decision.
Qualification Awarded
The Department of Graphic Design offers undergraduate degree in the field of Graphic Design.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
The students who study in the Department of Industrial Design Undergraduate Program are required to fulfil the following graduation requirements in order to obtain the Bachelor’s Degree:

- The students must pass all the credited courses with at least a letter grade DD, together with non-credited courses with at least the letter grade G
- They must obtain a total of 240 ECTS Credits.
- They must fulfill the requirements of the summer practices.
- They must achieve a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 60 out of 100.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graphic design graduates, advertising agencies, graphic design workshops, the press and publishing industry, universities in fine arts education and research programs academic staff, public and semi-public organizations as art consultants and graphic designers can find work as well as creating their own workplace by establishing their workplace.
