History
The Programme has anfitheatres/ classrooms each of which accomodates 135 students. The Karabük University offers students facilities such as canteen, conference hall, sports hall, dining hall and so on for social life and activities. There are also dormitories for both male and female students.
Qualification Awarded
When the program is completed successfully and the program qualifications are met, a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance is achieved.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
In order to qualify for the award of Bachelor’s Degree, the student must complete
-all courses in the curriculum,
-a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 (50/100) and 240 ECTS and no failing grades.
Students admitted in 2016 or later must take at least one University Elective Course (ÜSD) each semester and complete it successfully.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Department graduates have a wide range of job opportunities. Graduates have employment opportunities in public and private sectors. Students will be trained to fulfill various duties and responsibilities in financial, administrative and control mechanisms in these sectors. If one of the main objectives of the graduates of the banking and finance department is defined as training qualified personnel for banks, the necessary support will be provided to students who want to work in this field. The third business area is that our graduates create their own job opportunities in this field. Banking and finance graduates also have the opportunity to pursue their academic careers.
Assessment and Grading
The exams are conducted by the Dean's Office as stated in the "Karabük University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations".
