About Programme
The Department of Management and Organization within the Vocational School of Health Services aims to train professionals who have effective management and organization in the health sector, can think creatively and stand out with their leadership qualities. This department aims to provide the necessary knowledge and experience to maintain health policies efficiently, effectively and sustainably.

History
Health Institutions Management Programme was opened in 2013-2014 academic year. Currently, the first education quota is 82 and continues its activities.
Qualification Awarded
Program graduates are entitled to an Management of Health Institutions associate degree.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to first cycle degree programmes in or a related field of the study and gain access to these programmes through a centralised, nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı).
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from this program, students need to complete the lessons and credits already described in program schedule (minimum 100 hours or 120 ECTS) succesfully and get at least 2.00 GPA out of 4.00.
Management of Health Institutions Also, they have to complete their 30 days training period successfully.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
This program graduates, can work as having administrative, financial and support units in the health sector; Qualified personnel and lower and middle managers in human resources, service management, accounting and financial management, marketing, public relations, health law, quality management in health services at university hospitals, public hospitals, health centers, private hospitals and clinics, private practice doctors, medical software (medical journal, bulletin etc.) companies.
Assessment and Grading
Every student has to register at the start ot the semester and attend at least %70 of theoretical courses and %80 of applied courses in order to be able to take final exams. Students have to take minimum 1 mid-term and 1 final exam per course. In the total grade, mid-term’s effect is %40 and final exam is %60. In order for a course to be considered successful in the absolute evaluation system, the final exam or make-up exam grade must not be less than 50% of the full grade and the course success grade must not be less than 50% of the full grade. When relative evaluation is made, those with a semester exam grade below 35 are considered unsuccessful in the course. In order to gradute from a program, the student must have taken all the courses and complete them with the minimum 2.00 GPA score. To the ones who failed on those, they to repeat the courses with the score DC or under.
