About Programme
The Justice Program is a four-semester higher education program that aims to train qualified professionals who have basic legal knowledge of all sectors, especially the judiciary organization, who can meet the need for intermediate manpower and who will contribute effectively to the execution of justice services, in the light of contemporary and universal values. Justice program; adhering to moral and social values, aims to equip students with technical knowledge about basic law and justice services, gain problem-solving skills by using scientific background gains, develop communication, cooperation, questioning and taking responsibility skills, and maintain their professional and personal development for a lifetime.

History
Vocational School of Justice was established in 2013 with the Senate Decision dated 09.10.2012 and numbered 2012/11-32 of Karabuk University and the letter of the Higher Education Council dated 15.02.2013 and numbered 7548-11149.
Qualification Awarded
Justice Program graduates "Justice Clerk" is the title.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: (1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students: (1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to first cycle degree programmes in or a related field of the study and gain access to these programmes through a centralised, nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı).
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the program, each student must take 120 ECTS/ECTS credits from compulsory and elective courses and complete an internship covering 30 working days.
Since the internship is an application that prepares the student for life, the places where the internship takes place should have a certain working hours and maximum attention should be paid to this.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of Vocational School of Justice, Ministry of Justice chief in the organization of the court, the court clerk, the executive director and serve as prison director. In addition, a lawyer and notary with the banking and financial sector, including the various public and private institutions and organizations are able to find employment opportunities in the legal service.
Assessment and Grading
At least one midterm exam is applied each semester. At the end of each semester, the student has to take the final exam. The criteria (such as midterm exams, projects, assignments and finals) and the rate of impact on the final grade are clearly stated in the course contents distributed at the beginning of the semester and/or published on the website. According to the student regulations and the academic calendar, final exams are held on the dates, places and times determined and announced by the university. The final grade of the student is given by the instructor according to the results of the midterm, homework and final exams.

If no activity has been done in a course, then the contribution rate of the midterm exam grade to the success grade is calculated as 40%. If it is decided to hold a general exam and make-up exam, the contribution rate of the make-up exam is calculated as 60%. In order for a course to be considered successful, the general exam or, if it is decided to be held, the make-up exam grade should not be less than 50% of the full grade and the course success grade should not be less than 50% of the full grade.

Students with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher out of 4.00 in any semester are considered successful.
At the end of an academic year, students who have a normal course load for two semesters and whose GPA is between 3.00-3.49 are Honor Students; Students whose overall grade point average is between 3.50 and 4.00 are accepted as High Honor Students.
