About Programme

Karabük Üniversitesi Sağlık
Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda Optisyenlik programı 2018-2019 öğretim
yılında eğitim ve öğretime başlamıştır. Program 60 öğrenci kontenjanına
sahiptir. Optisyenlik Programının eğitim süresi 2 yıldır ve eğitim dili
Türkçe'dir.



Öğrencilerimiz, Safranbolu
Fethi Toker Güzel Sanatlar ve Tasarım Fakültesi binasının 1.katında Sağlık
Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda eğitimlerini sürdürmektedirler.



Programda mevcut olan (toplam
120 AKTS karşılığı) derslerin tümünü başarıyla tamamlamak için 4.00 üzerinden
en az 2.00 ağırlıklı not ortalamasının sağlanması ve 20 iş gününü kapsayan
zorunlu yaz stajının başarıyla tamamlanması gerekmektedir.



Optisyenlik Programından mezun olmuş kişilere
“Optisyen” denmektedir. Optisyen, Görme
kusurlarının giderilebilmesi için yetkili uzman doktor tarafından düzenlenen
reçeteye uygun olarak görme gereçlerinin (gözlük cam çerçeve, Kontakt lens),
esaslara uygun gözlük kullanıcısının kullanım özelliklerine göre sağlıklı
olarak hazırlanması alanında eğitim alan Sağlık Teknikeridir.



Programının amacı,
öğrencilere mesleki bilgi ve becerileri kazandırmak, bilgilerini etkin bir
biçimde kullanabilen, yaratıcı niteliklere sahip, ekip çalışmasına yatkın,
girişimci, iletişim becerilerine sahip, etik değerlere sahip kişiler
yetiştirmektir.



Optisyenlik programını
bitirenler ÖSYM tarafından yapılan Dikey Geçiş Sınavında (DGS) başarılı
oldukları taktirde; ÖSYM tarafından belirlenen lisans programlarına (Acil
Yardım ve Afet Yönetimi, Fizik, Fizik Mühendisliği, Optik ve Akustik
Mühendisliği, Sağlık Yönetimi) dikey geçiş yapabilirler.



Bu programdan mezun olan
öğrenciler “Optisyen” unvanı ile kendi optik mağazalarını açabilirler. Optisyenlik
müesseselerinde mesul müdür olarak çalışabilirler. Cam-Çerçeve ve kontak lens
üretimi yapan ve satan firmalarda da görev alabilmektedirler.

History
The Optician program in Karabük University Health Services Vocational School started education and training in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Optician Program has started officially in 2018-2019 academic year.
It still continues with 60 student per year.
Qualification Awarded
Program graduates are entitled to an Opticianry associate degree.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to first cycle degree programmes in or a related field of the study and gain access to these programmes through a centralised, nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı).
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from this program, students need to complete the lessons and credits already described in program schedule (minimum 100 hours or 120 ECTS) succesfully and get at least 2.00 GPA out of 4.00. Also, they have to complete their 20 days training period successfully.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
This program graduates, can work as opticians in optical stores.
Assessment and Grading
Every student has to register at the start ot the semester and attend at least %70 of theoretical courses and %80 of applied courses in order to be able to take final exams. Students have to take minimum 1 mid-term and 1 final exam per course. In the total grade, mid-term’s effect is %40 and final exam is %60. Students are required to take at least 50 points from the final exam. In order to gradute from a program, the student must have taken all the courses and complete them with the minimum 2.00 GPA score. To the ones who failed on those, they to repeat the courses with the score CB or under.
