About Programme
Objectives: The purpose of the International Relations Undergraduate Program is to provide students with theoretical and historical knowledge of International Relations, supported by other social sciences and language skills, to assist both in their academic and professional lives. Objectives: The objective of the program is to enrich students' knowledge of international relations through current, critical and interdisciplinary approaches, as well as learning theory and history. It also contributes to the development of reading, writing and critical thinking skills in Turkish and English related to the field.

History
International Relations English Program, has been founded in 2018 as a seperate program within the Karabuk University, Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences, International Relations program, and has started admit its first students in 2019.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of all courses in the curriculum, the students are awarded the Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in International Relations.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
In order to qualify for the award of Bachelor’s Degree, the student must complete
-all courses in the curriculum,
-a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 (50/100) and 240 ECTS and no failing grades.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students who graduate from the Department of International Relations are employed particularly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other governmental institutions beside to banks, unions, visual and printed media as well as various non-governmental and international organizations.
Assessment and Grading
The final exam affects the final exam at a rate of 40% and the final exam at a rate of 60%. However, these rates may change if requested by the instructor of the course.
