About Programme
Nursing department for 5 years of education and training, science and technology developments in line with the concepts of basic nursing knowledge, professional and sensitive to ethical principles, learning and research the request, which can solve the problem, the individual, family and society by taking a holistic approach aimed to train qualified nurses could care. For this purpose, qualified nurses are in demand to ensure the future of Turkey and the world is targeted.

History
Nursing department was estabilished in 2007, admits about 100 students each year. Department of Nursing education began its first student in 2010-2011, includes a 4-year nursing education.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of all the courses in the curriculum, the students are awarded the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and take title of "Nurse"
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
In order to qualify for the award of a Bachelor’s Degree, a student must have completed
-all courses in the curriculum,
-an 8-week industrial training period,
-a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00 (60/100) and 240 ECTS and no failing grades.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
A four-year baccalaureta degree in Nursing opens up a myriad of career opportunities in the rapidly growing health care field. The programme educates nurses to provide nursing care in various settings, which include private and public hospitals, long term care, schools, nursing homes, insurance companies and other health care and comunity agencies.
