About Programme
As Karabuk University Department of Industrial Engineering our goal is to educate engineers who is well equipped with subjects of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer programs and can set light to solve problems in either industrial sectors or service sectors, to manage the process productively and to take strategic decisions.

Our graduates equipped with technique and management information, in industrial and service sectors, our vital aims of department is to help that they can take a concrete step for progress further firms in which they work according to subjects like product development, product design chain, project management, experimental design, computer integrated manufacturing and design, productivity engineering, system engineering, quality systems, manufacturing planning and control, human resources management, quality control, management information systems, process management and generally to train youngs making contribution about our country s development.

History
Our department was established in 2008 within the Faculty of Engineering. The first students were admitted in the 2009-2010 academic year. Since 2014, students are admitted to master's and doctoral programs. PhD program is carried out jointly with Sakarya University Industrial Engineering Department.
Qualification Awarded
When students graduate, they have an Industrial Engineering diploma. His title is Industrial Engineer.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:

(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.

For International Students:

(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
In order for students to graduate from the Industrial Engineering program and receive a bachelor's degree, they must successfully pass all the courses specified in the curriculum and have a minimum GPA of 2.00.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Since industrial engineering is not limited to a specific sector and field of activity, it offers a wide range of employment opportunities. Industrial engineers are capable of working in every department of institutions in the production and service sector. In addition, they can implement their own business ideas with the entrepreneurship training they receive.
