About Programme
Our goals and objectives are that graduates from the Automotive Engineering Program of Faculty of Engineering at the Karabuk University to be able to successfully represent Turkey in every kinds of environments and:
1. Successfully practice Automotive engineering to serve state,regional,national or international industries, government agencies and private sector.
2. Work professionally in one or more of the following areas: Automotive and mechanical system design and manufacture, security, system integration and electronic design automation.
3. Achieve personal and professional success with awareness an commitment to their ethical and social responsibilities, both as individuals and in team environment.
4. Maintain and improve their technical competence through lifelong learning, including entering and succeeding in an advanced degree program such as engineering, science, information systems or business.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:

(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.

For International Students:

(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
In order to qualify for the award of Bachelor’s Degree, the student must complete
-all courses in the curriculum,
-an 8-week industrial training period,
-a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 (50/100) and 240 ECTS and no failing grades.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students who graduate from this program can work in the following areas:

1. In the state institutions such as Turkish state highways, Turkish state railways, DSI, MKEK, TULOMSAS, TUVASAS, Metropolitan Municipalities;

2. In private sector institutions such as automotive factories, the vehicle services and in other institutions can be employed as an automotive engineer.
Assessment and Grading
Automotive will attend. It will be prepared for the profession by specializing in the field of design engineering engineering. According to the practice order of industry internships.

INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP I (Minimum 25 working days)
They will do industry for at least 25 working days in suitable industrial factories, automotive sub-industry, automotive-related services or machinery manufacturing industry. This internship is at the end of the 4th semester. Students will submit their presentation reports by the specified date.

INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP II (Minimum 25 working days)
This internship is at the end of the 6th semester. Students will submit their presentation reports by the specified date.
