About Programme

Çocuk Gelişimi Bölümü Karabük Üniversitesi'nin Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi çatısı altında kurulmuş olup, bugünkü "Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü"nün temelini teşkil eden bölümlerden biridir. Çocuk Gelişimi Bölümünün misyonu, normal gelişim gösteren, özel gereksinimli, akut ve kronik hastalığı olan, korunmaya muhtaç ve risk altındaki 0-18 yaş grubu çocukların gelişimlerini değerlendirecek ve destekleyecek, aile danışmalığı yapabilecek yüksek donanımlı ve nitelikli çocuk gelişimci yetiştirmek; gelişimi değerlendirmeye yönelik araç geliştirmek; alanla ilgili kişi, kurum ve kuruluşlara (gereksinimleri doğrultusunda) danışmanlık, yayın ve araştırma hizmetleri sunmak; çocuk, aile, eğitimci ve toplumla ilgili çağdaş yaklaşımlar kullanılarak ülke ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda projeler geliştirmek, üretmek ve bu projeleri toplumun her kesimindeki çocuk ve ailelerin yüksek yararına olacak şekilde hayata geçirip yaygınlaştırmaktır. Bu misyon doğrultusunda çocuk gelişimi yüksek lisans programı Bologna süreci kapsamında yenilenmiştir. Yeni program oluşturulurken mezun ve öğrenci görüşleri, paydaşların görüşleri, sivil toplum örgütlerinin görüşleri alınarak ihtiyaç analizi yapılmıştır. Yapılan ihtiyaç analizi göz önüne alınarak program yeterlilikleri oluşturulmuş ve program yenilenmiştir.

History

The Master's Program with Thesis in the Department of Child Development and Education was opened in the 2013-2014 Fall semester with the decision of the Higher Education Council dated 26.11.2013 and numbered 2013-10-1.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages.
For International Students:
First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.

Higher Grade Transition
|
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to third cycle programmes.
|
Graduation Requirements
|
In order for the student to get a master's degree; He must pass the thesis exam and meet the other requirements for graduation determined by the institute board.
|
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
This degree is an academically oriented degree and enables the graduate to exercise his/her profession in or a related field of study and/or in research.

Assessment and Grading
|
The exams and evaluation of the courses are carried out according to Karabük University Postgraduate Education Regulation.
