About Programme

The aim of the International Political Economy Master's Program is to provide students with the necessary research methods, evaluation and analysis skills, and indispensable ethical principles in order to conduct scientific studies in the field of international political economy. The International Political Economy Master's Program offers the opportunity to specialize in international relations, state theory, political economy, geopolitics, economic history and various regional studies.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages.
For International Students:
First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to third cycle programmes.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from this program, the student should be successful in the Seminar course, should complete 30 credits (in ECTS 120 credits), and should successfully defend his/her thesis.

Students who meet the conditions of graduation in the Karabük University Regulations for Graduate Program earn a right to graduate from this program.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of the Department of International Political Economy, who have completed their two-year master's education, can find the opportunity to work in the International Relations Departments of domestic and foreign universities, various research centers, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
