About Programme
Goals: The goal of the program isto minimize the risks, the creation of a healthy and safe environment, the destruction of the source of hazards, work accident, legal and financial responsibilities to minimize conscientious. Increase the profitability of the entity .
Objectives: It is aimed to have graduates who(´re): Conscious about Ataturk s Principles and comprehend History of Turkish Revolution, Good at using Turkish language skills, Able to use mathematical skills in professional area, Able to use intermediate level of English,Able to explain effects of physical, chemical, ergonomic and psychological stress makers in work environment,Able to prepare preventive action plans of workplace, accidents and occupational diseases.

History
Level to meet the educational needs of occupational health and safety program in our school class, projection equipment, safety equipment and first aid training equipment. There are 2 computer laboratories with the capacity of 50 students in total and 1 hardware laboratory in the
program.
Qualification Awarded
The students who successfully complete the programme are awarded Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to first cycle degree programmes in or a related field of the study and gain access to these programmes through a centralised, nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı).
Graduation Requirements
In order to qualify for the award of Associate's Degree, the student must complete
-all courses in the curriculum,
-a 30-workday (240 hours) industrial training period,
-a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 (50/100) and 120 ECTS and no failing grades.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students graduated from this program, according to the qualifications they have gained during education, are employed in organizations and establishments in industry, construction, minig, health, food and service sectors.
When they meet the requirements, graduates can work as an occupational safety professional in the relevant units in all workplaces in the public and private sectors that are located in Very Dangerous, Dangerous and Less Dangerous classes.

Assessment and Grading
All measurement and evaluation methods used throughout our university are systematically managed. In accordance with requests from academic departments, the methods of measurement and evaluation of departments / programs are evaluated by our relevant boards and, if found appropriate, are collected in the university pool. Departments and programs can choose the measurement and evaluation methods that are appropriate for their program designs from this pool.


The exams are conducted by Yenice Vocational School as specified in the scope of ”Karabük University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation".
