Admission Requirements
Students are admitted to master's programs with thesis by considering 60% of their ALES score and 40% of their undergraduate GPA. In the evaluation, those who score at least 60 points out of 100 are ranked according to their success scores and are accepted to master's programs within the quota. A reserve list will be announced as long as the quota. The Spiritual Counseling and Guidance (Thesis) Master’s Program is an interdisciplinary program; therefore, applicants from different academic backgrounds are welcome, and such diversity poses no obstacle for admission. Graduates of the following fields may apply: Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Theology/Islamic Studies, Preschool Teaching, and Child Development (4-year programs). Applicants holding undergraduate degrees from other disciplines may also apply to the program, provided that their admission is approved by the Administrative Board of the Karabük University Graduate Education Institute upon the recommendation of the relevant department. Additionally, applications from students who are in the process of completing their undergraduate studies are conditionally accepted. When deemed necessary by the department, accepted students may be required to take Scientific Preparation (remedial) courses before beginning the core program.
