Karabuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of International Relations is a unit that aims to train experts in the field of international relations for public institutions and organizations, intergovernmental and international organizations, private sector and non-governmental organizations. As of 2022, the International Relations PhD program was opened and started accepting students in the 2023-2024 academic year.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must hold a master's with a thesis degree in the areas of International Relations, Political Science, Political Science and Public Administration, Public Administration, Law, Economics, Business Administration, History or Political Science and International Relations.
Graduate CGPA must be at least 3.00 over 4.00 (or 76.66 over 100.)
Applicants must submit a minimum ALES (Equal Weight) score of 70. An equivalent score on an exam accepted by the Higher Education Council is also valid.
Applicants must submit a minimum English YDS/e-YDS or YÖKDİL score of 60. An equivalent score on an exam accepted by the Higher Education Council is also valid.
Candidates must earn a minimum score of 70 from written science exams and/or interviews.
Overall assessment must be 75 or higher.

Graduation Requirements

This four-year-long program entails intensive coursework, seminar, a comprehensive exam, dissertation proposal, and dissertation study.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
The employment area of the graduates of the department is very wide. Graduates of the department work as international relations experts in public institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, Economy, Interior, Finance, Agriculture, Culture and Tourism. In addition, non-governmental organizations, private sector, media, financial institutions and international organizations are among the areas where graduates of the department are mostly employed.
