About Programme
Sosyal Hizmet Doktora programının temel misyonu alanındaki bilimsel, teknolojik, sosyal veya kültürel ilerlemeleri tanıyarak/tanıtarak yaşadığı toplumun bilgi toplumu olma ve bunu sürdürebilme sürecine katkıda bulunan, toplumsal, bilimsel, kültürel ve etik sorunların çözümünde stratejik karar verme süreçlerini kullanabilen, multidisipliner bilimsel çalışmaya uygun, doğru istatistiksel yöntemleri kullanarak analiz ve sentez yapabilen, güncel gelişmeleri takip ederek hizmet verdiği insanlar ve toplum yararına kullanabilen bilim insanları yetiştirerek sosyal hizmet disiplinine kazandırmaktır.
Sosyal Hizmet Bölümü Doktora programının temel hedefleri,
- Yüksek lisans yeterliliklerine dayalı olarak sosyal hizmet alanındaki güncel ve ileri düzeydeki bilgileri özgün düşünce ve/veya araştırma ile uzmanlık düzeyinde geliştirebilen ve özgün değer haline getirebilen,
- Multidisipliner etkileşimi kavrayarak yeni ve karmaşık fikirleri analiz, sentez ve değerlendirmede uzmanlık kazanmış,
- İleri düzeyde farklı araştırma yöntem ve tekniklerine ilişkin bilgiye sahip olan,
- Sosyal hizmet uygulama alanlarındaki sorun ve gereksinimler temelinde yeni hizmet modelleri geliştirebilme becerisine ve birikimine sahip,
- Karmaşık ve zor vakalarda süpervizyon desteği sunabilen,
- Yaratıcı ve eleştirel düşünme, sorun çözme ve karar verme gibi üst düzey zihinsel süreçleri kullanarak sosyal hizmet ile ilgili yeni düşünce ve yöntemler geliştiren,
doktora düzeyinde bilim insanları yetiştirmektir.

History
Social Work PhD program 2022-2023 was opened in the fall semester of the academic year and students were admitted to the program. The program, which started to provide education and training services with 6 doctoral students, accepts students from the fields of psychology and psychological counseling and guidance, primarily social work undergraduates.

When the social work doctoral program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are provided, a PhD degree in Social Work is obtained.

Graduation Requirements
PhD program, for students with a master's degree with thesis, at least 21 credits in total, including at least 7 courses, seminars, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and thesis work, and at least 240 ECTS credits, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS in one academic year. occurs.
For those who are accepted with a master's degree with thesis, excluding the time spent in scientific preparation, the PhD program is eight semesters for each semester, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are enrolled in, regardless of whether they are registered or not, and the maximum completion period is 12 semesters.
Students who successfully complete the PhD qualifying examination in the course period start working on their PhD thesis studies after the thesis advisor is appointed and the thesis proposal is submitted.
Students who are successful in their thesis defense submit their thesis to the institute within three months following the exam date, in accordance with the thesis writing rules of the institute, and the doctoral graduation process takes place.
