About Programme
Resim Ana Sanat Dalı Tezli Yüksek Lisans Programı, 2020-2021 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı’nda Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü bünyesinde kurulmuştur. Yüksek Lisans programı, Güzel Sanatlar alanında akademik bilgi ve deneyime sahip yaratıcı, yenilikçi ve uzman sanatçılar yetiştirmeyi amaçlayan doktora eşdeğeri bir yükseköğretim programıdır. Tezli Yüksek Lisans Resim programı eğitim ve öğretiminin süresi, ilgili lisansüstü eğitim ve öğretim yönetmeliğine göre ders ve tez hazırlama evreleri ile birlikte dört yarıyıl olup azami tamamlama süresi on iki yarıyıldır. Bölümde 2 Profesör, 2 Doçent, 3 Dr. Öğr. Üyesi bulunmaktadır.
Tezli yüksek lisans programının amacı, öğrencinin bilimsel araştırma yöntemlerini kullanarak bilgilere erişme, bilgi derleme, yorumlama ve değerlendirme yeteneğini kazanmasını sağlamaktır. Tezli yüksek lisans programı, 21 krediden az olmamak şartıyla en az 7 ders, bir seminer ders, uzmanlık alanı ders ve tez çalışmasından oluşur. Ders döneminde Bilimsel Araştırma Yöntemleri ve Etik dersini almak zorunludur. Tezli yüksek lisans programı her yarıyılda en az 30 AKTS kredi almak koşuluyla mezuniyet için toplamda 120 AKTS kredisinden oluşur. Tezli yüksek lisans programının süresi bilimsel hazırlıkta geçen süre harç, kayıt olduğu programa ilişkin derslerin verildiği dönemden başlamak üzere, her dönem için kayıt yaptırıp yaptırmadığına bakılmaksızın dört yarıyıl olup, program en çok altı yarıyılda tamamlanır. Dört yarıyıl sonunda öğretim planında yer alan kredili derslerin ve seminer dersinin başarıyla tamamlayamayan veya bu süre içerisinde Enstitünün öngördüğü başarı koşullarını/ölçütlerini yerine getiremeyen; azami süreler içersinde ise tez çalışmasında başarısız olan veya tez savunmasına girmeyen öğrencinin Enstitü ile ilişiği kesilir.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages.
For International Students:
First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.

Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to third cycle programmes.

Graduation Requirements
Karabük University has fulfilled all the conditions stipulated by the relevant article of the Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination and the required 21 national credit course load and 120 ECTS credits in the Master of Arts program for the Department of Painting, 7 courses, 1 seminar course, specialization course and thesis study also It is compulsory to take the Scientific Research Methods and Ethics course. Those who have successfully completed all compulsory courses and applications, thesis study and defense exam are eligible to graduate.
Erasmus students must complete the ECTS credit required for the semester they come.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates of the Department can work as artists, art directors, art consultants, art educators, and become academicians at universities. Students who graduate from the Painting Department can work as freelance painters or as researchers in this field. In addition, if they receive a training certificate, they can work as a branch teacher in the field, work as a realizer, meet demands for decorative painting, work as a designer in private workshops or in different sectors. In addition, by fulfilling other conditions, they can work in Higher Education Institutions by making an academic career.

Assessment and Grading
The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the “Course Teaching Plan” prepared by the relevant faculty member / s and included in the Information Package. Regarding exams and course grades, the relevant articles of the Karabük University Postgraduate Education and Examination Regulation are applied.
