History
The proposal of the Rectorate of our University to open a Graphic Design Department within the faculty of our faculty has been examined at the Higher Education Executive Board Meeting dated 28/12/2016 and in accordance with the Article 7 / d-2 of the Law No. 2547 numbered 288 and Article 3 of Law No. 2809. The decision was made to be connected to the decision.
Qualification Awarded
The Department of Graphic Design offers undergraduate degree in the field of Graphic Design.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
(1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages.
For International Students:
(1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
Students of the Undergraduate Program in the Department of Graphic Design must fulfill the following graduation requirements to obtain a Bachelor’s degree:

Pass all credit courses with at least a DC (Conditionally Successful) grade and all non-credit courses with at least a G grade.
Successfully complete courses in the program curriculum by earning at least 240 ECTS credits.
Complete the Summer Internship 1 specified in the curriculum.
Have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graphic design graduates, advertising agencies, graphic design workshops, the press and publishing industry, universities in fine arts education and research programs academic staff, public and semi-public organizations as art consultants and graphic designers can find work as well as creating their own workplace by establishing their workplace.
