About Programme
Our school Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program for education and training started in 2018-2019 academic year. Program has a quota of 30 students. The aim of the program in the associate degree vocational school of health services is to give a comprehensive associate degree that provides to the students to train at a professional level of Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Technician, are trained making assistive devices (orthoses), eye prostheses and epithesis (ear , nose, facial prostheses) for patients who has disorders of the musculoskeletal system or losing all or part of arms or legs.

Qualification Awarded
After successful completion of the program, students are given associate degree diplomas in the field of Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: (1) High School Diploma, (2) Placement through a centralised, nation-wide student selection and placement examination organized by Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the centralized exam and high school grade point averages. For International Students: (1) High School Diploma and its "Certificate of Equivalency” granted by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE). (2) Exam for International Student (YÖS) or international university entrance examinations such as SAT I, ACT, etc., recognised by the national authority in higher education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their scores obtained from YÖS or equivalent exams.

Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to first cycle degree programmes in or a related field of the study and gain access to these programmes through a centralised, nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı).

Graduation Requirements
A student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses meeting a minimum of 120/240 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no F1-F2-NA grades.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Graduates: They perform their duties in section of Prosthetics - Orthotics in hospitals, special workshops, or work at companies that sell medical supplies or may place your own business
