About Programme
The aim of the program; With the Graduate Program in Food Toxicology at the Institute of Health Sciences of our university, the toxic food components and factors affecting toxicity to students; the criteria, methods and tests used in the toxicological evaluation of foods; food allergies and hypersensitivity; natural toxic compounds; pesticides and veterinary drugs; foodborne microbial toxins; food additives; food packaging materials; heavy metals and other environmental contaminants; irradiation; processing methods and compounds formed; new foods and GMOs; national and international regulations; It is aimed to have specific information about toxic effect mechanisms, transformation of xenobiotics, nutritional elements that change drug effect, nutritional deficiencies that can be observed in chronic drug use and their results, to make researches and to use these researches in different areas for the benefit of human health.

Student admission to the program started in the 2019-2020 spring semester.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages.
For International Students: First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.

Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to third cycle programmes.

Graduation Requirements
The master's program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and thesis, with a total of not less than 21 credits. The seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The student who has a master's degree with thesis; It is obligatory to take at least 6 credits from the courses offered in each of the first and second semesters of the Graduate School / Major Art Branches.

Assessment and evaluation are carried out in accordance with the Karabuk University Graduate Education and Training Regulations.
