About Programme
The Institute of Social Sciences Public Administration Master s Specialization Programs show candidates who have completed their bachelor s degree education to equip them with the latest developments in public administration, to refine their knowledge, to gain deeper knowledge of public administration and how to use existing knowledge in practice.

History
Program started accepting students in 2010. Program aims to equip its students with the most up-to-date information in the fields of state structures and administration, and to renew existing knowledge, and covers all management functions.

Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete the required courses in the curriculum are awarded a Master's degree in Public Administration.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages. For International Students: First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.

Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to third cycle programmes.

Graduation Requirements
The master's program with thesis consists of at least 7 courses, not less than 21 credits, a seminar course, a specialization course and thesis. It is obligatory to take the Scientific Research Methods and Ethics course during the semester. The master's program with thesis consists of a total of 120 ECTS credits for graduation, provided that at least 30 ECTS credits are taken each semester.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students who graduate from the program can work at all the government institutions, private sector enterprises, local governments as a manager, specialist, researcher, administrative staff and administrative judge. At the same time they can continue their academic career and education in abroad.

Assessment and Grading
Students take a midterm exam at least once in each semester from the credit courses they have registered for, and the general exam for all courses they have taken in a semester and meet the attendance requirement. Success grade is calculated by taking 40% of the midterm exam grade and 60% of the general exam grade. In order for a course to be considered successful, both the general exam grade and the success grade must be at least 65 out of 100 at the master level.
