About Programme
History
Within the framework of the protocol between Sakarya University and Karabük University, Basic Islamic Sciences Master's Program has been carried out with the Institute of Social Sciences since 06.06.2013.
Later, Karabük University Institute of Social Sciences, Basic Islamic Sciences Master's Program was opened on 08.06.2016 and has been accepted as an instructor since the 2016-2017 academic year and is still continuing his education.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages.
For International Students: First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to second cycle degree or directly to integrated third cycle (doctorate) programmes.
Graduation Requirements
In order to qualify for the award of a Master’s Degree with thesis, a student must have completed
- All courses with minimum 60 credits,
- One seminar and pass its oral examination,
-A thesis and to defend it sucsessfully,
- Minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00 (65/100) and 120 ECTS.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates are assigned as teachers in primary and secondary education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, and as Mufti, Preacher, Quran Course Instructor in the Mosque affiliated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the Quran Course and affiliated administrative institutions.
In addition, they are employed in various positions at various levels of the state, where graduates of higher education and graduates.
Assessment and Grading
It is carried out within the framework of the Measurement and Evaluation criteria of the Regulations of Karabük University Graduate Education Institute.
