About Programme

The Basic Islamic Sciences Graduate program aims to deal with the well-known fields of study that emerged in the history of Islamic thought at an academic level and to make them teaching subjects such as Tafsir, Quran Reading and Recitation, Hadith, Kalam, Islamic Law, History of Islamic Sects, Sufism and It includes the branches of Arabic Language and Rhetoric. Education continues with 1 professors, 12 associate professors and 12 research assistants.

History
Within the framework of the protocol between Sakarya University and Karabük University, Basic Islamic Sciences Master's Program has been carried out with the Institute of Social Sciences since 06.06.2013.
Later, Karabük University Institute of Social Sciences, Basic Islamic Sciences Master's Program was opened on 08.06.2016 and has been accepted as a teacher since the 2016-2017 academic year and has later included a doctorate program and is still continuing his education.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
Second Cycle (Master’s) Degree diploma with thesis, (2) A minimum ALES score of 55 or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. (3) A minimum score of 55 in accepted foreign language proficiency exams. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of second cycle degree grade point averages, ALES and foreign language exam.
For International Students:
Second Cycle Degree diploma with thesis obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their second cycle degree grade point averages.
Higher Grade Transition
Anyone who has completed the doctoral program can qualify for the title of Associate Professor by meeting the criteria (education and academic activities) determined by YOK.
Graduation Requirements
Fulfilling the Graduation requirements specified in the Graduate Regulations of Karabük University.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates can work as a faculty member in the Basic Islamic Sciences Departments of Theology Faculties. They are employed in various positions in the Ministry of National Education and Directorate of Religious Affairs.
