About Programme
Our aim as the Waste Management Program - Able to generate ideas in the solution of wastes - Know and apply quality systems - Able to provide consultancy in the solution of environmental problems - Able to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment Report - Be able to serve as a manager or employee in waste disposal facilities - Be able to serve as an academician - Able to produce projects in the prevention of environmental pollution or in existing projects - To train environmental engineers experts who can cooperate with other disciplines and provide coordination when necessary. The goal of the Waste Management Master and Doctorate Program; 1. To provide a comprehensive and functional graduate education program equipped with basic and up-to-date information in the field of Waste Management, 2. Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: Second Cycle (Master’s) Degree diploma with thesis, (2) A minimum ALES score of 55 or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. (3) A minimum score of 55 in accepted foreign language proficiency exams. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of second cycle degree grade point averages, ALES and foreign language exam.
For International Students: Second Cycle Degree diploma with thesis obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their second cycle degree grade point averages.

Assessment and Grading
(1) The students take the midterm exam and the general exam of all the courses that they have taken in one semester and at least once in each semester. F2 grade is given to students who do not take the exam. Exam dates are announced at least two weeks in advance by the departments. Approved exam grades are entered into the student information system within the period specified in the academic calendar and the results are submitted to the head of the department within fifteen days from the end of the exams. The departments of the department are obliged to submit the results of the general examination together with the results of the mid-term examination to the institute in fifteen days.
(2) The student who cannot take the midterm due to his excuse may be granted the right to make a midterm exam if he / she is accepted by the board of directors of the institute. The make-up exam is made by the instructor within the time period specified in the academic calendar and the grade is entered into the system.
(3) The examinations are arranged and administered by the instructor assigned to that course. The head of the department is determined by the head of the department and notified to the directorate of the institute.
(4) All exams that measure proficiency, level determination or course achievement can be conducted simultaneously on paper and to all candidates, allowing for different questions to be asked to each candidate at different times from a question bank, which is classified according to area and difficulty level and stored securely. also in electronic form

(5) Any material error correction related to grades is made with the approval of the department within five working days following the application of the instructor and the end of the semester or summer school grades.
