About Programme
Mathematic, giving the ability to apply science and engineering knowledge of Forest Industry Engineering problems, students prepare a successful career in engineering and Academician. Forest Industry Engineering problems, to identify, formulate, modeling, analyzing and solving skills needed to design and conduct experiments and gain the ability to analyze and interpret data.

History
In 2012, it started education activities in the Department of Forest Industry Engineering. There are two application (workshop) laboratories and two research (Physics and Mechanics) laboratories in the Department of Forest Industry Engineering. Our laboratories; Wood Physics Laboratory, Wood Mechanics Laboratory.

Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of all the necessary courses in the curriculum, the students are awarded Master s Degree in Forest Product Engineering.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages.
For International Students: First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.

Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to third cycle programmes.

Graduation Requirements
1) To have successfully taught at least 7 courses with no less than 21 credits in two semesters. 2) To successfully deliver the graduate seminar work. 3) To complete 120 ECTS credits in total, provided that they get at least 30 ECTS credits in each semester. 4) To successfully complete the master thesis.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
This degree is an academically oriented degree and enables the graduate to exercise his/her profession in or a related field of study and/or in research.

Assessment and Grading
(1) Success grade is calculated by taking 40% of midterm exam grade and 60% of final exam grade. (2) In order for a course to be considered successful, both the final exam grade and the success grade must be at least 65 out of 100 at the master's level. (3) Seminar course, field of specialization, thesis study are evaluated as pass (G) or fail (K). (4) According to the success grade evaluation result, the student is given one of the following letter grades, Score Letter grade Coefficient 90-100 AA 4.00 80-89 BA 3.50 70-79 BB 3.00 65-69 CB 2.50
In addition, the following letters are used for evaluations outside the letter grades in the table:
G: (Pass) It is given to a student who is successful by fulfilling the requirements of the course in a non-credit course. K: (Remains) Given to a student who fails to fulfill the requirements of the course in a non-credit course. F1: It is given to the student who does not fulfill the attendance requirement, the student does not have the right to take the exam / exams. F2: It is given to a student who does not take the exam. F3: Given to students who take the exam but fail.
