About Programme
This program is arranged to give PhD degree to students while to make them reach a professional outlook. In addition the program is giving opportunity for students who already completed their master studies as continuation of their academic studies.

History
With the establishment of Karabük University, the Manufacturing Engineering Doctorate program began.

Qualification Awarded
The Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Manufacturing Engineering (doctorate) awarded to the graduates who successfully fulfil all the programme requirements.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens: Second Cycle (Master’s) Degree diploma with thesis, (2) A minimum ALES score of 55 or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. (3) A minimum score of 55 in accepted foreign language proficiency exams. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of second cycle degree grade point averages, ALES and foreign language exam.
For International Students: Second Cycle Degree diploma with thesis obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their second cycle degree grade point averages.

Graduation Requirements
In order to be eligible for the Doctorate Degree, students must meet the following conditions; • Students must have passed all credited courses with a letter grade of at least BB, and for non-credited courses with a letter grade of at least G. • They must have received 240 ECTS in total. • General Academic Grade Point Average must be at least 75 out of 100 or at least 3 out of 4. • Having successfully taught the seminar course. • They must prepare and successfully present a doctoral thesis.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Students can work in the areas related to manufacturing systems like welded manufacturing, production metallurgy, extractive metallurgy, materials, mechanical metallurgy, machining , machine designing, material testing. They will be able to work at private sector enterprises in manufacturing and R&D as engineers and managers.
