About Programme
Students who have completed their undergraduate education in the field of Mathematics in the Master's program are given advanced courses in their fields of interest within their undergraduate education, and gives the opportunity to work at an academic degree under a supervisor who is the experts in their fields.
History
The program, which was established jointly within the body of Karabük University Institute of Science and Bülent Ecevit University Institute of Science in 2010 and started education for the first time in the 2010-2011 academic year, left the partnership of Bülent Ecevit University in 2013. Since then, the program has continued to provide postgraduate education independently.
In this program there are one Professor and three Associate Prof. and 7 Assistant Prof. who specialize are in Algebra and Number Theory, Analysis and Functions Theory, Fundamentals of Mathematics and Mathematical Logic, Applied Mathematics, Geometry and Topology.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of all the necessary courses in the curriculum, the students are awarded Master s Degree in Mathematics.
Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
First Cycle (Bachelor's) Degree diploma, (2) A minimum score of 55 in the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on ALES and first cycle degree grade point averages.

For International Students:
First Cycle Degree diploma obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their first cycle degree grade point averages.
Higher Grade Transition
Upon successful completion of this programme, students may apply to third cycle programmes.
Graduation Requirements
In order to qualify for the award of a Master’s Program with thesis, a student must have completed minimum of 7 courses, not less than 21 national credits, a seminar course, a specialization course and a thesis study. It is compulsory to take the Scientific Research Methods and Ethics course during this program. The master's program with thesis consists of a total of 120 ECTS credits for graduation, with a minimum of 30 ECTS credits per semester.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates; as academic staff at universities, they encounter job opportunities that allow them to work as a specialist (or assistant specialist) in various state institutions, especially in institutions such as TÜİK, DPT, Turkish Patent and TSE. In addition to these, they can work as teachers in both MEB and private education institutions. Students who have successfully completed their Master's education can continue their Doctorate education both in Turkey and abroad.
