The Faculty of Communication of Karabük University was established following the Council of Ministers’ Decision dated 26.09.2016 and numbered 2016/9270, which was published in the Official Gazette No. 29875 on 01.11.2016.

With the Presidential Decree dated 27.03.2020 and numbered 2319, published in the Official Gazette No. 31082 on 28.03.2020, the name of the Faculty of Communication was changed to Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication.

The Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication is located in Safranbolu, which is included in UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage List.

In the 2021–2022 academic year, student admission to the Department of Journalism and the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema was finalized, and education and training officially commenced.

With the Presidential Decree dated 02.08.2024 and numbered 8785, published in the Official Gazette No. 32620, the name of the faculty was changed to Safranbolu Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication.
